About The Artist
Stela grew up in New York and began her formal art training at the High School of Art and Design. Always interested in anatomy and science, she went on to get an MS in Medical and Scientific Illustration at the University of California San Francisco. At her studio in the Industrial Center Building in Sausalito, Stela continues to paint as well as work as a freelance medical illustrator.
