About The Artist
Tracy Flanagan prints, dyes, and stitches new life into upcycled discarded cloths using plants, fibers, and natural dye products. In an effort to minimize her ecological footprint, she upcycles natural protein and cellulose, discarded garments, sheets, and curtains and other discarded fibers. She tries to reuse and design with zero fabric waste. By reconfiguring well-worn fabrics, she tells a new story of connection between place, fiber, self, and family.
