Generally shy and wary, wild birds are curious, intelligent creatures, quick to learn about and adapt to changes in their environment. They are realists, who know how to share habitat peacefully with other species to survive, but who also have boundaries and enforce them when necessary. When given space and treated respectfully, they often respond in kind. I am totally captivated by their beauty.

In these ways I am like the birds I photograph.
